Bilal, a 30-year-old from Iran was sentenced to death for killing an 18-year-old over a petty fight. As per Iranian law, the hanging of the accused takes place in public with the relatives of the victim needing to kick the chair. Just when the noose was tightened around Bilal’s neck, the victim’s mother slapped and announced that she forgave him.
